It was at a customer appreciation night at our local craft store (Creative Accents) and I couldn't resist picking up the papers and felt snowflakes. I also used their sketch as my layout for this card.
Now it's off to Dawn and remember, leave her some much deserved love for her creation!

Cards for Men

I'm thrilled to announce that I am now a member of the Cards for Men Design Team! They have a great new challenge starting today "It's Nearly Christmas" sponsored by Karen's Doodles.
I had a hard time picking an image as they are all so cute, so I decided to make a couple of cards. My first card is with Christmas Tree Guy.
Such a jolly little tree he is! I wanted to use papers that were bright and jolly and I think the "Believe" paper pack by Close to my Heart works perfectly. I colored the image with my Copics and of course, added Glossy Accents to his nose, eyes, gloves and boots. I glittered up his hat and applied Liquid Applique to the rim of his hat and added more bling to his "body" and boots. I thought the red and white Baker's Twine added the touch the card needed.

My second card features Bigsby Swinging Lights. I also colored this image with my Copics and added dimension with Glossy Accents and Liquid Applique. I added some red and green rhinestones, as well as brads and ribbon.
Make sure you check out the other Design Team Members creations for some "Nearly Christmas" inspiration!

"Pick a Day" Challenge

It's time for another Wednesday challenge at Dude Time Doodles. This time, we are asking you to create a project based on one of these special November Days:

  • World Hello Day - November 21st
  • Thanksgiving - November 24th
  • Stay @ Home Because You're Well Day
My pick was Thanksgiving, how could I not when Fanny Thanks is up for grabs! Since I colored her with a fairly bright orange, I chose some subtle papers to tone it down....but with a comment like "Turkey Farts", how can one tone it down?!
Now it's your turn to have some fun! Pick a "Day" and get on with it BUT not before you check out the other FAB creations from the Design Team!
