V is for Vixen

We're on the letter V at ABC Christmas Challenge!  Vixen is one of Santa's reindeers and we are looking for creations that use a reindeer image.

We have two sponsors for this challenge, Sweet Stamp Store and QKR Stampede.  Since we have two sponsors, we will have 2 winners!

I decided to work with a silhouette digi, Ropin Santa by QKR Stampede.  I printed the image on kraft paper then distressed the edges with black ink. I used some wooden snowflakes and inked them in black as well, to keep up with the theme!  The papers are from the Believe Collection by Bazzill and the sentiment is by Paper Smooches.

Prize - a $10.00 Gift Certificate for Sweet Stamp Store

This adorable image and sentiment is "Skywalker" by Paper Pretties.  I printed the sentiment on the colored paper then used my fishtail banners by MFT to cut it out.  I pulled out my Stampin Up punches for the circles then added a button and bakers twine.  The papers are from the Party Animals collection by Kaiser Craft and think they work perfectly with this fun image!

Halloween Challenge at Digi Haven

It's Halloween Challenge time at Digi Haven!  I LOVE Halloween and am already planning out my decorations, I just wish my youngest would hurry up and plan his costume.  It was so much easier when they were younger and you just dressed them up in what you wanted them to be!

Okay, on to our challenge ... our sponsor for this challenge is Dilly Beans and Megan has graciously offered to provide the winner with 3 digis of their choice!

This image is Teeghan's Spider Frame 2 by Dilly Beans and I have fun working with this image, there are so many possibilities!  I colored her up with my copic markers then added glossy accents to the bow, spiker and her eyes.  I also added some purple rhinestones over a few of the black dots ... I'm thinking I should have used a brighter color.  The black and green/black dotted ribbon is from my stash, as well as Mr. Skeleton face!  It's kinda hard to see but I stamped "eek" on the bottom of the card and used silver embossing powder ... black just didn't show up very well.

For some wild inspiration, make sure to check out the Digi Haven's Design Team creations, you won't be disappointed!

Time to get ready for Christmas at CCAY!

Frightening to think Christmas is only 84 days away!  In order to get you "ready" our theme over at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round this month is "Getting ready for Christmas!"  We would like to see anything associated with the preparations for Christmas ... baking, decorating, tree trimming, etc.

This challenge is two-fold.  The first challenge is to create one card and for those of you who are ambitious, we have a second challenge where we want you to create a set of 5 cards.  Make sure you check out CCAY Challenge Blog for more details!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Platypus Creek Stamping & Craft and they have graciously donated cling mount stamps for the winner of each challenge!

I used the image Boughs for the Wreath by Mo Manning.  I colored it up with my Copic markers to match the papers from the First Edition Nordic Christmas collection.

Platypus Creek Stamping and Craft is the Australian distributor for The Artful Stamper, The Stamp Barn and Sunshine Designs.  We also have a small range of our own designs produced here in Australia.   As well as rubber stamps we carry a good range of accessories which we are constantly adding to.
